Graph showing population of China, India and Africa

Notes: Fewer people live in Africa than in China or India, but Africa's population is growing faster: by about 2.3 percent per year, compared with 1.5 percent per year in India and with 0.6 percent per year in China. Africa became the second, and possibly final, billion-person continent in 2009.
