Long-term historical population of selected

European countries, all ages: 1840-2010

Graph showing historical populations of selected European countries

Notes: For many countries, long-term historical information is not available, and for others, it is patchy.

Curiously, the populations of Denmark and Finland have overlapped for at least 130 years. The population of Finland was slightly larger until 1920, but since then it has been slightly smaller.
